Accessibility Statement

Editorial review: 27 June 2026

Professional Insurance UK wants its website to be usable by people with a wide range of access needs.

Our technical target is Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2, Level AA. This remains a target, not a claim of full conformance. An initial post-build accessibility review was completed on 27 June 2026 and the findings and limitations are recorded below.

Our accessibility commitment

We aim to consider accessibility when designing, writing and maintaining the site. This includes clear headings, meaningful link text, keyboard access, visible focus, text alternatives for informative images, readable colour contrast, zoom and reflow, labelled forms and accessible tables.

The initial review covered the shared site template and representative public pages, including the homepage and Advertising and Commercial Disclosure page. Future reviews will extend to new forms, tables, downloadable files, advertising, consent tools and other third-party components as they are introduced or changed.

We will prioritise barriers that prevent access to essential information or completion of important tasks, while recording lower-impact improvements for planned maintenance.

The standard we are working towards

WCAG 2.2 organises accessibility requirements under four principles: content should be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust. Level AA conformance requires all applicable Level A and Level AA success criteria to be satisfied within the claimed scope.

Choosing WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a target does not establish conformance. This statement is based on documented checks and clearly identifies the limits of the current review.

Assessment and known limitations

On 27 June 2026, the Professional Insurance UK Editorial Team completed a limited structural review of the live site using rendered page HTML and WordPress page records. The review checked document language and viewport metadata, page titles, heading structure on representative pages, primary and footer navigation labels, the skip link, landmark labels, logo alternative text, link text and the publication status of the trust pages.

The review found these structural elements present on the pages examined. It did not include a full WCAG audit, screen-reader or other assistive-technology testing, exhaustive keyboard-only testing, browser and device combinations, zoom and reflow testing at every breakpoint, or a complete assessment of third-party cookie, advertising, analytics or search components. Full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance is therefore not claimed. Readers can report barriers through the contact route below.

Report an accessibility problem

Tell the Professional Insurance UK Editorial Team about an accessibility problem through our Contact Us page or email zenithstarmediagroup@gmail.com.

Useful information may include:

  • the page address;
  • the task you were trying to complete;
  • the problem you encountered;
  • the browser, device or assistive technology used, where you are comfortable sharing it;
  • the format or adjustment that would help.

Please do not send unnecessary medical, identity, payment or other confidential information through a general contact route.

Alternative formats and assistance

Tell us which page or information you need and what format or adjustment would help. We will consider the request and explain what we can provide. We do not promise a particular format or response time that has not been operationally approved.

How this statement is maintained

This statement will be reviewed when the PIUK Core plugin, styling, navigation, forms, tables, consent tools, advertising or other material site components change. The assessment date and known limitations will be updated only after a meaningful review of the affected accessibility position.

For our wider correction and review standards, read the Editorial Policy.
